It's All in the Bounce: Come Play Plinko for Pupils
by Top of the Hill on August 7, 2023Do you remember playing Plinko as a kid? Now, you have the chance to relive that childhood memory and play Damu's Plinko for Pupils, an in-store event that will benefit four local elementary schools, Apollo, Briarwood, Honeydew, and Maplewood Heights. With every purchase of $100 or more, you get to drop one of our Plinko balls into the board and see which dollar amount the ball lands on. What's more exciting than playing the game? You get to choose which school Top of the Hill donates to by taping the appropriate slip to the wall!
The History of Plinko
Plinko, a beloved game made famous on "The Price is Right," has a rich and interesting history. It was invented by Frank Wayne in the 1970s and quickly became a fan favorite on the popular game show. Plinko combines the excitement of chance with the thrill of anticipation, as players watch a small disc drop down a maze of pegs, hoping it will land in a high-value slot.
Over the years, Plinko has evolved and gained popularity beyond the game show. Now, it's being used as a fun and engaging way to raise funds for local elementary schools in Renton. The Plinko for Pupils fundraiser allows community members to relive their childhood memories while supporting education in their area.
How to Participate
For every $100 you spend at our store, you will receive a ball to drop down the Plinko board. The board is filled with a maze of pegs, and as the ball makes its way down, you'll be on the edge of your seat as you wait to see if the ball lands on a $1, $3, $5, or $10 slot. The dollar amount the ball lands on will determine the donation amount that goes to one of four area elementary schools. You get to decide between Apollo, Briarwood, Honey Dew or Maplewood Heights.
Playing Plinko not only allows you to have a nice break while you grab your groceries, but also supports the education of students in the Renton area. By participating, you are directly contributing to the success of four deserving elementary schools in our community. So, come on down to the store, have fun playing Plinko, and make a difference in the lives of local students. Together, we can support our schools and create a positive impact in our community.
